With over 30 years of experience, we share some key lessons we've learnt from doing Network Design projects for some of the best known FMCG companies in the world.
Looking back to 1992 and comparing the tools, techniques and processes we used back then to today’s approach, its striking how much some areas have changed, and yet others remain the same.
Whilst the modelling tools have undergone a quantum leap in terms of their computing horsepower and optimisation capabilities, the process of whittling down a list of potential investment scenarios and generating a Board paper for the optimal $x00m investment is remarkably similar.
Network Design projects are usually high-profile initiatives with senior stakeholder backing. They are great projects to be involved in and we’ve been fortunate to meet some brilliant people along the way - here’s to the next 30 years of Network Design!
